CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENT HEMATOLOGY – ONCOLOGY UNIT, 2nd PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT, SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI, GREECE

Children’s and Adolescent’s Hematology – Oncology Unit is part of 2nd Paediatric Department of the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and is situated at `’AHEPA“ University Gerneral Hospital of Thessaloniki. The Unit consists of 17 inpatient beds and 5 one-day clinic beds, served by specialized medicol and nursing staff. Every year about 40 children and adolescents with cancer are treated in the Unit, as well as, 30-40 patients with non-malignant hematologic disorders. Outpatient Clinics (hematology-oncology, long-term follow-up, hemostasis, endocrinology) in a daily/weekly basis are situated in a separate place of the Department.
