The Board oversees the work of HeSPHO, consists of seven members and is elected by the General Assembly by secret ballot.
It is composed of the President, the Vice-President, the General Secretary, the Treasurer and three Board Members. Board members are elected for a two-year term, renewable for two consecutive terms. The President can be re-elected for only one consecutive term.
The role of the HeSPHO Board is to provide strategic advice on pediatric hematology oncology; to define priorities and targets of the organization; to review financial management and scrutiny of annual accounts; to provide expert input on scientific policy and management issues.
Board members meet at least once monthly or more often, according to the needs and issues of the Society.
